Cristina has been working in Education since 2004. Her career started when she lived in Southeast Alaska and worked in island communities. At that time, she worked with tribal communities in their early learning programs until she moved south. Living in Coos Bay, Oregon, she had a few different roles. Cristina was the Education specialist for the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Siuslaw, and Lower Umpqua Indians, Head Start Director for the Coquille Indian Tribe, and last but not least, Behavior Specialist for Coos Bay School District. She moved on and was a PBIS Coordinator/Behavior Coach for Bend LaPine School School District and found her way to Pullman, WA. Cristina worked at the Pullman School District as the Assistant Director of Special Programs and moved to Director of Special Programs for three years. Along the way, she began teaching classes at Washington State University and continues to do so while working on her Ph.D. in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities through the Department of Health and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho. She is currently the Director and Baker Early Learning Center.
